Calendar Menu
Users can view all scheduled or planned events within the Calendar Module. This homepage corresponds to the ‘Calendar’ menu section, as shown below.
Users can view meetings and other activities in the DAY, WEEK, MONTH, and YEAR forms. The color-coded date columns make it easier to identify scheduled events for a specific day.
To enter a listview, tap the list icon in the upper right corner of the window. The ‘Filter’ and ‘Favorites’ features help users sort and find certain meetings or schedules.
Mark your Availabilities: To add your availability to a specific meeting or appointment on the calendar interface, use the Share Availabilities dropdown menu and enter the dates, time, link, and other details using the Select Dates, Any Time, Custom Link, Dental Care, Interviews, and Other Appointments options, as shown below.
Adding Meeting Attendees: The attendees for a scheduled meeting are displayed on the right side of the page. To invite more than one attendee, click the "+Add Attendees" button in the Attendees dropdown menu, as shown below.
Examining Meeting Details: Users can access detailed information on a specific meeting by selecting it. This includes the meeting description, privacy settings, and related tags. To make any more changes to a scheduled meeting, select the Edit icon.
Creating New Meeting Schedules: To plan a new meeting, selecting the desired date. Following the date selection, a pop-up window will appear asking for the required data to be input. To proceed, click ‘Save & Close.’
The newly created meeting will appear in the date column. To view further details, click on the meeting date and select the ‘Edit’ option in the pop-up box. In addition, we may create a meeting by selecting the New button in the Meetings pane. Then, a configuration form will be displayed, allowing for more changes.
The Meeting Configuration Form has several fields. Users can specify the Meeting Subject, Start & End Dates, Durations, Recurring and All-Day options. Notifications can be sent via email or text message next to the reminders section.
The "Description" field enables planners to describe sessions. Reminders might be included for participants. Locations and tags can be selected. A video call URL can be included. To make a meeting recurring, select the recurring option, set the recurrence using a calendar format, and adjust the privacy settings.
Appointments Menu
The Odoo 17 Calendar Module simplifies online appointment scheduling, reducing appointment risks for clients and workers. Providing a seamless appointment scheduling, it promotes a productive work environment.
* Click on the given appointment button under the ‘Set your Availability’ field on the homepage banner to configure appointments in the Calendar Module. As a result a form for setting up an online appointment will be displayed.
* A user can manage and create a new appointment from the ‘Appointments’ menu. It will open a dashboard showing all previously created appointments as shown below.
* A user can create Import Records, Create Dashboards, Spreadsheets & articles using action menu placed on the upper left corner of the window through Odoo Knowledge Module integration properties.
Appointment information will be shown with the name, duration, number of schedules, and overall number of meetings.ent configuration document.
To view the appointment information, use the ‘Preview’ option within the Action button on each appointment Kanban view, and then share them using the ‘Share’ button.
This Action menu also includes the ability to Edit and Delete Appointment information.
To add new appointment details, click the ‘New’ button. This will open the appointment set up form, allowing you to enter the required information.
Reporting Menu
For getting appointment information analysis Odoo Calendar Module uses a ‘Reporting’ menu. The feature is available for ‘All Appointment’ created on Odoo database as shown in the below image.
All Appointments:
* The ‘All Appointments’ reporting window displays the report analysis for every appointment.
* Create graphical representations of appointments by month to visualize the number of appointments.
* Change the report data parameters in the ‘Measures’ field.
* Use the ‘Filters,’ ‘Group By,’and ‘Favorites’ options in the advanced search box at the top of the window to filter, group, and favorite data.
* Click the respective icons in the top right corner to access the various report view options for customized and extensive analysis of appointments and meetings, which include Graph, Calendar, Pivot, & List.
Configurations Menu
The Odoo 17 Calendar Module lets users sync their calendars with external services such as Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, easing scheduling and maintaining consistency across platforms. To accomplish this, navigate to the Configuration menu and select the Settings window.
Calendar Settings
Users must select the preferred calendar service and receive the required credentials, such as a Client ID and Client Secret, from the Google Cloud Console in the designated areas inside the Settings window, as seen in the image below. These credentials authenticate the Odoo instance using Google’s API.
We can also enable or disable calendar synchronization by selecting the Pause synchronization option. This will cause data updates between two calendars, preventing changes from affecting the other until synchronization is resumed.
It allows users to permit Odoo to view their Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar. This integration can dramatically enhance scheduling and general productivity.
