Enabling the Odoo 17 website module’s ‘Discounts, Loyalty & Gift Card’ option from the settings window of the configuration menu.
It can be accessed directly through the Loyalty Programs link or through the ‘Discount & Loyalty’ and ‘Gift cards & e-wallets’ sub-menu inside the ‘e-Commerce’ menu of the Website module.
This acts as a gateway to establish or manage Gift Cards, Loyalty Cards, and other marketing programs.
Managing discounts, loyalty programs, gift cards, and e-wallets is made simpler with the Loyalty Programs link or menu, which includes a comprehensive list of Program Names, Types, Websites, Points of Sale, and Companies.
Creating New Discounts or Loyalty Programs
You can create new loyalty or discount programs by clicking on the ‘New’ button on the dashboard, which will open a program creation form for that item. A new discount scheme is being developed here.You must select the "Program Type" option from a drop-down menu and update the program name in the "Programme Name" box.
Users must choose the correct currency, use the calendar in the start and end date sections to determine the program’s validity, and set use limitations in the limited usage part in order to configure a loyalty program.
The Company section should contain business facts. Selecting "Available On" options can speed access to loyalty programs in particular categories, such as Point of Sale, Sales, and Website.
Users should indicate the name of the website if they want to limit program publication to that one.
Users can restrict the publication of the loyalty program to a certain website by entering the name of the relevant website in the "Website" box.
The publishing may be restricted to those specific shops by entering the store names in the "Point Of Sales" section.
Rules & Rewards Configuration
Using the "Add" option on the Rules & Rewards menu, users can establish purchase or sales conditions for an offer program.
The requirements for coupons and gift cards that qualify are listed in the "Minimum Quantity" and "Maximum Purchase" sections. Certain "Products", "Categories", and "Product Tags" are included in the Loyalty Program rule. Conditional rules can be saved,closed, or further conditions can be added using the "Save & New" option.
Creating Rewards
Click "Add" under "Rewards" and select "Create Rewards" to start creating new awards. Select the "Reward Type" and specify the discount percentage. Put the savings towards "Cheapest Product", "Order", or "Specific Product".
You can select the maximum discount that will be awarded as a reward by checking the "Max Discount" box in the "DISCOUNT" section. Users can edit the award's description and save the designated prizes by clicking the "Save & Close" button.As indicated below, the created prizes will be placed in the Rules & prizes tab.
Generating Coupons
By changing the terms and conditions and then selecting "Generate Coupon," users can create coupons.They can enter the desired quantity, choose a customer type, and choose the validity period.
The available coupons are then shown in the 'Coupons' smart button at the top of the setup form when you click the 'Generate Coupons' button. This procedure guarantees effective and efficient coupon creation.
Sending and Sharing Coupons
Administrators have the option to email coupons to others by clicking the "Send" button in the coupon box.
There will be a popup window that shows the coupon's promo code. Users are able to modify their email address by sharing the coupon with the selected contact by clicking the Share option.
Furthermore, if the website ID is entered in the "Website" field, coupon cards become visible to the public.
We can now examine how Coupons are applied within the website's user interface. Thus, we are able to place an online order by selecting a product from the website's Shop menu.
As shown in the screenshot below, there is a section inside the product cart where we may add Gift Card Codes, Discount Codes, and other Coupon Codes.
I've copied a discount code from the coupon dashboard and used it to apply the coupon benefits for the order by clicking the Apply button as an example of how to use it.
The coupon code has now been added to the order, as can be seen, and a notification will appear, as seen in the screenshot below.
Loyalty Cards
The procedure for creating a new Loyalty card is in line with the previously stated coupon arrangement. Users can create new loyalty programs via the "Products" menu's "Discount Loyalty" setup box. However, the "Programme Type" needs to be changed to "Loyalty Cards".Basic program information including the program name, kind, currency, price list, points units, start and end dates, limit usage, company, website, available platforms, and point of sale must be submitted.
Users can create incentive programs and program parameters by specifying minimum purchase amounts, product specifications, and award categories on the 'Rules & Rewards' page.
By completing particular requirements and reward information in the wizards and saving them in the Rules & Rewards page, users can add Conditional Rules and Rewards for the promotion program.
Then, by clicking the "Add" option found inside the Rewards section, we can add a new prize to the list—a free product in exchange for a specified number of loyalty points.
How to designate a Free Product as the REWARD for a specific quantity of loyalty points is demonstrated in the screenshot above.
Generating Loyalty Cards
The Loyalty Cards smart button displays the quantity of loyalty cards once the configuration processes are finished.
By selecting the appropriate smart button, you may manage your loyalty cards or add new ones directly from the Loyalty Cards dashboard.
Send the relevant Loyalty Card to users or customers by using the Send and Share buttons found in each column.
When a new loyalty card is being created, the code shows up in the settings box. As seen below, users can alter the Partner, Expiration Date, and Balance promo points.
Several loyalty cards and codes can be made in accordance with the needs. Clients can receive their tracking and redemption-enabled loyalty card codes via email or direct message.
We may now examine how loyalty cards and points are applied within the website's user interface. Let's attempt to order a specific item from the website's Shop section now. Following the product order, the Loyalty Points for that specific order are shown on the right side of the website, as seen in the illustration below.
To receive the free product in accordance with the reward configuration we previously completed inside the Loyalty Card configuration form, click the Claim button.
Creating Gift Cards & e-Wallets
Odoo 17 now offers a distinct menu for managing gift cards and e-wallets via the new Website module.
Information about each gift card and e-wallet is available on the platform. In the form view, users can click the "New" button to generate new gift cards or eWallets.
Then, users may fill in the appropriate program name in the "Program Name" field and choose between a discount and loyalty card. Customers can purchase these cards, which are supplied by email and can be generated automatically or manually to make order payments easier.
Users can activate product IDs and personalize a gift card email template for customer notifications under the "Gift Card Products" column. Printing from the point of sale (PoS) is possible with the "Email Template" box, and printing from the "Print Report" section is also possible.The "Currency" section allows you to specify the currency that will be used for gift card transactions. After choosing the relevant firm, users can modify the "Available On" settings to activate a gift card at the point of sale, sales, and website.
Once all necessary data has been provided, there are more options to specify the proper "Point of Sale" and "Website" before storing the data.
Generating New Gift Cards
Users can create desired gift cards via a popup window that appears when they receive the "Generate Gift Cards" request. They can change the generation for "Selected Customers" or "Anonymous Customers" and supply information such as quantity, value, and validity period.Tracking and Distributing Gift Cards
Users can view a dashboard with all created gift cards and keep track of the amount of gift cards that are available by using the "Gift Cards" smart button.Gift cards can be delivered via URL links using the "Send" option, which allows the receiver to edit the email before sending it. Users can also share them via URL links by choosing the "Share" option, where they can additionally modify sharing options and generate short links.
A Compose email box will open when we use the Send button to send a gift card, letting us enter the recipient's email address and send the card.
If you are the recipient, copy the gift card from the email and paste it in the space designated for adding a gift card coupon inside the website orders window's shopping cart.
As an example, I placed an order for a sample product using the website's Shop menu, and I then copied and pasted the gift card code into the appropriate column to receive the advantages as indicated below.
Once the gift card code has been applied to the order by clicking the Apply button, the gift card value has been deducted from the total amount, as seen in the figure below.
Creating e-Wallets
These electronic wallets, which customers use to place orders, can be created automatically or manually. E-wallets are shown as a payment option at the point of sale. Use the same procedure as for making gift cards to make e-wallets.
*Under "Program Type," choose an e-wallet and enter information like "Program Name," "e-wallet Products," and "Email Templates."
*Enter the Company, Currency, and eWallet availability under "Available On." After selecting the proper website and point of sale, store the eWallet information.
e-wallet Generation
You can create new eWallets or manage current ones by clicking the eWallet smart button, which opens the dashboard pane seen in the screenshot below.
The steps listed below for creating new e-wallets are comparable to those mentioned before.
The Send and Share buttons found within the eWallets dashboard can also be used to send these wallets.
To take advantage of the e-wallet features, just copy the code from the email and paste it into the website order window's Coupon Code editing column, as shown in the examples above.
Click the Apply button to deduct the matching e-wallet amount from the total amount of this order after copying the e-wallet code onto the orders window, as shown below.
